M.A. Childhood Studies and Children's Rights (MACR): The core element of the interdisciplinary and international programme M.A. Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights is the active and effective participation of children (and young people) in social processes. It is based on the understanding of Childhood(s) as a social, historically changeable phenomenon and of children as social subjects who are to be respected as such, with own views, interests and competencies. Special emphasis lies on an understanding of children’s rights as socially and culturally contextualized subjective rights.
• Course length: three semesters (1 1/2 years); seven modules and M.A. thesis.
• Amount of credit points to be gained: 90 ECTS.
• Integrated internship or practical project respectively (theory-practice link).
