The MA International Child Rights & Development is a multi-disciplinary programme underpinned by a rights-based perspective on child well-being, comprising taught modules in Children’s Rights, Child Protection, Global Childhoods and Child Health & Development, as well as research methods teaching and a dissertation. The programme is policy and practice oriented and provides a strong grounding for students wanting to continue to PhD study. It attracts students from all around the world.

Scholarship in the school is interdisciplinary; it is located within the humanities and social sciences and it draws upon a wide range of theoretical and disciplinary perspectives. We have a proud history of contributing to public policy debates and the concerns of professional communities of practice across multiple sectors, both nationally and internationally, and provide programmes of study that help professionals critically analyse, research and effectively respond to changes in thinking and policy in their fields.
