Transition of the Coordination Office to Geneva

Based on the General Assembly meeting of the Network and the recommendation of the Steering Committee, the Coordination Office planned to move to Geneva. The transition process started in the last quarter of 2016 and is expected to be completed by June 2017.

The Steering Committee of the Network met on Friday, December 16th, 2017 to discuss and smoothen the transition of the Network Coordination Office from Berlin to Geneva. The Committee discussed various issues including the transition to Geneva, organizing the bi-annual conference and annual seminars and the expansion of the Network activities.

CREAN's new website has just been launched!

We are pleased to announce that the new website of CREAN has just been launched. The website www.crean-network.org comes to replace earlier websites of CREAN and ENMCR and add new features deemed necessary for the extended scope of work of the Network. Besides adding more visibility to members and their activities, the website provides a gateway for learning programmes and courses in the field of children's rights and childhood studies.

International Forum On Intercountry Adoption & Global Surrogacy

The Hague University is holding a Forum On Intercountry Adoption & Global Surrogacy in August 2014. The purpose of the forum is to provide an opportunity for scholars and practitioners to come together to provide an evidence base for international adoption and surrogacy problems and/or best practices that might inform Hague Convention policymakers and HCIA Central Authorities. 10-week post-graduate diploma course on ‘Children, Youth and Development'

For the past 8 years, the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague and International Child Development Initiatives (ICDI) in Leiden have jointly organized a 10-week post-graduate diploma course on ‘Children, Youth and Development.’ Since then, roughly 100 mid-career children and youth professionals from around the world have successfully graduated from the course.
